WA: Gallop: proud night for Labor = 2
Thanking party workers and supporters at an ALP function in his electorate of Victoria
Park, Dr Gallop said: "This victory is yours."
"I intend to govern Western Australia on behalf of all West Australians," Dr Gallop said.
"In enjoying this victory tonight, I acknowledge that the other side is obviously experiencing
the great pain of defeat.
"To all of those people who supported the Liberal Party, congratulations on the role
that they played in making sure our democracy works well."
Dr Gallop said many challenges lay ahead but he looked forward to working with all
West Australians.
